La Cà Bar is where it all started — Tuan opened this spot on 6th Ave in 2017. The phở starts with 24-hour bone broth. The bánh mì gets fresh-baked baguettes. Same family recipes from Central Vietnam, cooked the way they've always been cooked.
On 6th Ave in Tacoma, WA, La Cà Bar is the Vietnamese restaurant that put Central Vietnamese cooking in one of the city's main dining neighborhoods. The menu doesn't stop at phở and bánh mì. Bún bò Huế, cơm tấm, crispy spring rolls, rice plates, and rotating specials — dishes that come from the same part of Vietnam the family does. The bar was built to go with the food: craft cocktails, local drafts, and a kitchen that stays open until 2am on Friday and Saturday for late-night Vietnamese food in Tacoma that doesn't taste like an afterthought.
